2/12/2024 0 Comments Elk springs resort reviews![]() I should not have to waste my vacation time contacting you, you calling someone, me waiting, god knows how long, wasting my time for your ineptitude of being ready. Personally, I find it hard to believe.Why should I have to worry about anything, I paid you, you should be prepared for my stay. Jennifer also stated " I do not find any complaints about anything you've mentioned. Called and spoke to Jennifer, her attitude was it's not our fault it's yours, in you agreement you agree to notify us if anything is wrong. We'll, if they spent as much time making sure the cabins were as good as they show on their site as do on all the sighs posted about how much thing cost if you break them the cabin would have been exceptional. I feel that if this is a 4.5 star rated facility what do I have to worry about. Guess grilling out wasn't a option anymore. Later we return and thought we would make a family dinner ( there was 6 adults and 5 children ) I decided to check the grill, it wouldn't get above 150 degrees. Then I go to my room to take a shower, and the shower head is held on by duck tape. Checked in Friday, Saturday morning get up to make coffee, turn on the lights in the kitchen and BOOM, the cockroaches scattered. It cost an extra $1095 plus my original money. After multiple emails, some not so nice from myself, they agreed to change the dates. When I tried to reschedule I was told " either come or loose your money". This whole trip was supposed to happen on March. Do not stay at this cabin, it is unsafe and dirty. Elk Springs was non-responsive and has done nothing to rectify the issue. We are extremely disappointed with the accommodations, which we upgraded to, and paid more money for a higher quality cabin. Needless to say, this trip was not like our last trip. We called the main office to confirm and they advised the gentleman were from Elk Springs. This was also concerning because no one told us anyone would be coming out to service the nonexistent lawn. One gentleman sat on the front ledge and talked on his phone, while the other gentleman picked up a cup and then proceeded to take photos of the front of the cabin. In our time of waiting, two gentleman arrived, without cars, and advised they were there to mow the lawn, which doesn’t exist. We spent the entire first day waiting for maintenance to come up and fix the internet. We received a text that they would show up anytime before 4:30 pm, which was approximately a five hour window. She further advised that we will receive a text with their arrival time. The next morning we called the main office again and spoke to another representative that offered to send someone up to fix the internet. At this point, we were tired and didn’t want to sit outside the cabin for another hour, in the dark, waiting for the cleaning crew. She further advised that she could dispatch the cleaning crew back out to clean again. She advised that not all cabins have security and no one can enter the cabin without the passcode. Immediately after entering the unit, I called the main office and the gal that I spoke to was unapologetic and not helpful at all, regarding our safety concerns. Also, the outlet covers are damaged in several rooms upstairs, which poses a safety hazard. The upstairs bedroom cable box had no power to it and does not work. The telephone was dead (no power at base) and the internet did not work on all television sets. The dishes were put away with food stuck to them. ![]() There was dried blood on the seat of the upstairs toilet and dead bugs throughout the entire unit. After they were done, we entered the cabin and immediately noticed the front door had no security, as well as a loose locking mechanism, which was installed with drywall screws and not secured to the door slab. We had to wait outside for approximately 45 minutes while the cleaning crew was still inside. We arrived to the cabin at approximately 3:00 PM on Sunday, after receiving a text message advising the cabin was ready for check-in. ![]() We stayed at a different Elk Springs cabin in March and had a wonderful experience. We checked out a night early due to safety and cleanliness concerns of our cabin. Elk Springs does not take cleanliness seriously, especially during Covid-19.
